Bio

Through her custom Milestones portraits, and American Nostalgia collection, Jahni Ittel connects with her audience by embracing the comfort of home. While serving in the Peace Corps, she discovered her passion for painting pets, families, and architecture. Milestones is a series of custom portraits of first homes, babies, pets, and wedding portraits painted in Ittel's vibrant style. Because Ittel spent so much time abroad, she thinks fondly of her home. Remembering family vacations to different states helped fabricate the American Nostalgia collection. In this collection, she pairs each state's outline with their state flower.

Jahni Ittel is from a small town called College Corner, Ohio. She is a graduate from Hanover College with a bachelor of arts degree in Studio Art in 2011. Ittel is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, who served in the Republic of Georgia as an English Education volunteer from 2017-2019. Ittel currently resides in Tbilisi with her husband and french bulldog. She plans to attend Texas A&M Corpus Christi for her MFA in interdisciplinary art.
